穆吉巴尔·拉曼教授现任孟加拉国农业大学代理校长、农学院院长。他获东京大学森林科学博士学位，主要研究领域包括：农业林业系统开发（聚焦于孟加拉国冲积平原生态）、森林生态与作物-树木互作机制，以及可持续农林复合模型的技术研发。他曾开发出四种适用于孟加拉国冲积平原的可持续农业林业模型，显著提升了土地生产力并改善了农民生计；此外，他还主导开发了“多层级农林系统”，有效优化了热带地区的资源利用效率。拉曼教授已发表学术论文131篇，其中国际期刊22篇，国内期刊109篇。他目前担任《 Journal of Agroforestry and Environment》主编，是孟加拉国五所高校的专家委员会成员，同时也是孟加拉国农业林业学会的终身会员。
阿卜杜尔·卡德尔现任孟加拉国农业大学农学系教授兼农业系统与气候韧性农业中心主任，同时担任联合国粮农组织（FAO）驻孟加拉国首席农学家。其主要研究领域涵盖作物农学（聚焦水稻、小麦和玉米）、植物胁迫生理学（盐分与干旱）、植物生物技术及气候适应型种植制度，并在哈奥尔低洼区、查尔冲积平原、盐碱区、巴林德高地与丘陵区等多个生态区拥有丰富的田间研究经验。卡德尔教授已发表学术论文65篇，并参编Springer出版社出版的气候变化与植物抗逆性专著。他曾主持多项由世界银行与GAFSP资助的大型国际项目，涵盖农业多样化、营养智慧村和盐碱区适应性农业研究，并在政策咨询与农民能力建设方面发挥了关键作用。

Introduction to the Speakers:
Mujibar Rahman currently serves as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture. He holds a Ph.D. in Forest Science from University of Tokyo. His main research areas encompassing agroforestry system development (focusing on the ecology of Bangladesh’s alluvial plains), forest ecology and tree-crop interaction mechanisms, as well as technical research and development of sustainable agroforestry models. He has developed four sustainable agroforestry models tailored to Bangladesh’s alluvial plains, significantly enhancing both land productivity and farmers’ livelihoods. Furthermore, he led the development of the “Multistoried Agroforestry System,” which has effectively optimized resource utilization efficiency in tropical regions. Professor Rahman has published 131 academic papers, including 22 in international journals and 109 in domestic journals. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Agroforestry and Environment, is a member of expert committees at five universities in Bangladesh, and is a lifetime member of the Bangladesh Agroforestry Society.
Md. Abdul Kader is Professor of Department of Agronomy& Director of Centre for Farming Systems and Climate Resilient Agriculture, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). He is also working as National Senior Lead Agronomist (Part-time Consultant) at FAO-UN Bangladesh. He got his PhD in Plant Physiology from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. He had research experiences in Sweden, Germany and Japan and was a Swedish Institute Fellowship holder to work as a Senior Researcher in the University of Stockholm, Sweden. Professor Kader have worked with research projects funded by British Council, International Foundation for Sciences (IFS), Swedish International Development Agencies (SIDA), German International Development Cooperation (GIZ), The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the BAS USDA and ACIAR, Australia. His major research areas are (but not limited to) crop agronomy (particularly rice, wheat and maize), stress physiology of plants, especially salinity and drought stress, plant biotechnology, Cropping Systems and Farming Systems. He has a long field research experience in a very wide range of agro-ecological context including haor ecosystem, char ecosystem, saline ecosystem, Barind ecosystem, hill ecosystems etc.
