谷靖教授是英国国际发展研究院（IDS）资深研究员，新兴国家与全球发展中心主任，IDS中国中心负责人。同时，她还是中国农业大学国际发展讲座教授、中国与全球发展知识网络的创始人。谷靖在国际发展政策与全球治理、南南合作、基础设施投资、中非合作、数字化转型及可持续发展等领域有着丰富的研究、发表和咨询经验。她在非洲、东亚和东南亚以及金砖国家进行了大量实地调研工作。她是联合国经济和社会事务部（UNDESA)一带一路与可持续发展项目顾问、英国国家科研与创新署(UKRI)国际发展同行评审学院专家，担任Third World Quarterly等国际期刊的学术编委，担任Journal of Development Studies、Sustainable Development等国际期刊的外部评审专家。
Professor Jing Gu is a Senior Research Fellow and Director of the Centre for Rising Powers and Global Development at the Institute of Development Studies, where she also leads the IDS China Centre. She is an adjunct Chair Professor in International Development at China Agricultural University. She has been working with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs on the BRI investments and SDG-related outcomes across developing countries. Jing Gu has led many interdisciplinary research projects involving multi-country teams, including the ground-breaking research on China’s outward investment in Africa and Southeast Asia. Her innovative research work has provided important new insights into the complex reality of state and business motivational and operational practices, challenging orthodox conventional wisdom. She is the founder of China and Global Development Knowledge Network. She has published widely on development policy change, China and Global South, BRICS, China’s international development strategy and South South Cooperation. She is an academic editor of Third World Quarterly and member of the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) International Peer Review College.
