有关“发展”、“发展合作”与“全球发展治理”的叙事和政策正面临深刻转型,“发达国家和发展中国家”、“南方国家和北方国家”等二元分类难以有效地刻画现实图景的变迁,发展与安全、发展自主性等新叙事也探索捕捉着现实断裂中的新生之地,尤其在后疫情时代,全球发展学界正构建着新的知识体系以应对系列新挑战,而中国及其他新兴国家在这一领域的参与和贡献必将深刻地影响着新发展知识体系的未来。该系列讲座将呈现这一趋势的前沿争辩和探索。

斯特芬妮·斯科特(Steffanie Scott)教授在英属哥伦比亚大学获得博士学位后,在西澳大利亚大学任教两年。2003年转至滑铁卢大学地理与环境管理系,在环境、企业与发展学院(SEED)、环境、资源与可持续发展学院(SERS)和规划学院交叉任职。2012年到2014年,她引领了加拿大食品研究协会,是滑铁卢地区食品系统圆桌会议的首届联合主席,以及滑铁卢大学本土化工作组的联合主席。教授可持续食物系统、去殖民化、基于土地的教育学、中国和发展地理学等课程。斯特芬妮·斯科特(Steffanie Scott) 教授2018年与人合著《中国的有机食品和农业:自上而下和自下而上的生态举措》,进一步证实了她在食品安全和食品系统变化领域的领先国际学者的声誉。除了这本书,Steffanie还在《农业与人类价值观》、《食品政策》、《生态与社会》、《加拿大食品研究》、《当地环境》、《可持续性》和《农业食品系统与社区发展杂志》等期刊上发表了 50 篇学术文章和专著章节。她作为滑铁卢地区一个基于社区基础上可持续实践项目的联合调查员,也关注着新冠肺炎在中国造成的粮食安全后果的研究。她是中国生态农业和中国粮食系统变化的几个研究项目的首席研究员。
Steffanie completed her PhD at the University of British Columbia, and moved to the University of Waterloo’s Department of Geography and Environmental Management in 2003. She led the Canadian Association for Food Studies (2012-14), was inaugural co-chair of the Waterloo Region Food System Roundtable, and co-chairs the Indigenous Priorities Action Committee at the University of Waterloo. She teaches on sustainable food systems, decolonization, land-based pedagogy, and geographies of development. Steffanie Scott’s reputation as a leading international scholar on topics related to food security and food system change is confirmed by her 2018 co-authored book, Organic Food and Farming in China: Top-down and Bottom Up Ecological Initiatives. Steffanie has published 50 academic articles and book chapters in journals including Agriculture and Human Values, Food Policy, Ecology and Society, Canadian Food Studies, Local Environment, Sustainability, and the Journal of Agriculture Food Systems and Community Development. Steffanie is principal investigator for several research projects on Ecological Agriculture in China and China's Changing Food System.

Dr. Zhenzhong Si is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Wilfrid Laurier University. His research examines food security, sustainable food systems and rural development in China. He is working on a SSHRC-funded project about COVID-19's impacts on food security and a SSHRC Partnership Development Grant on using agroecology to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. Building on his doctoral research that examined the power dynamics of alternative food networks and rural development initiatives in China, he co-authored the book "Organic Food and Farming in China: Top-down and Bottom-up Ecological Initiatives". He also teaches courses about food systems at the University of Toronto and Wilfrid Laurier University.
