Dr.TANG Lixia, Professor, Deputy Dean of College of International Development and Global Agriculture (CIDGA), Head of Department of Development Studies of College of Humanities and Development Studies, China Agricultural University. She received her PhD in Development Studies from China Agricultural University and PhD in Agricultural Science from Humboldt University in Berlin.
She has been involved in research projects on poverty analysis and livelihood, social public policy analysis, international development aid and China engagements in Africa. Her research interests are poverty, rural development, international development aid, and China-Africa cooperation in agriculture. The field sites of her research work cover more than 20 provinces in China and several developing countries, e.g. Zambia, India, Thailand, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Since joining the work in 2003, Prof. TANG has taught 2 undergraduate courses, 4 postgraduate courses, 2 international student courses and has supervised 63 postgraduate students and 10 doctoral students. She has led two sub-projects of major national social science projects, two projects of Beijing Social Science Fund, and over 40 projects commissioned by various ministries.
Prof. TANG has won the third prize of Outstanding Achievement Award in Higher Education Scientific Research (Humanities and Social Sciences) of Ministry of Education in 2009 and the first prize of Beijing Teaching Achievement Award in 2018. She has participated in the formulation of a number of national poverty alleviation policies, international cooperation policies in agriculture, and disaster assessment and aid policies. She has published more than 60 papers in core journals at home and abroad and participated in the publication of more than 20 monographs and editing.
Prof. TANG has visited more than 20 countries for study and research. She has served as senior project review expert for the agriculture group of China Foreign Aid Training Program, policy consultant expert for Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and senior consultant for Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). In 2018, she won the Outstanding Contribution Award for Agricultural South-South Cooperation from her invaluable contribution for the China-FAO program.
中国农业大学管理学博士，德国洪堡大学农学博士。中国农业大学大学国际发展与全球农业学院副院长，国家乡村振兴研究院副秘书长，人文与发展学院发展管理系系主任，MPA教育中心主任。
从2003年参加工作以来，主讲本科生课程2门，硕士研究生课程4门，留学生课程2门，指导硕士研究生63名，博士研究生10名，主要研究方向为贫困与农村发展、国际发展援助和中非农业合作。主持国家社科重大项目子课题两项，北京市社科基金课题两项，主持各种部委委托课题40多项。2009年获得教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（人文社会科学）三等奖，2018年获得北京市教学成果奖一等奖。参加过国家多项扶贫政策、农业国际合作政策、灾害评估及救助政策的制定工作，在国内外核心期刊杂志发表论文60多篇，参与出版专著和编著20多部。工作期间，曾到访过20多个国家学习和调研。曾担任过中国援外培训班农业组高级项目评审专家，中国农业农村部国际司政策咨询专家，联合国粮农组织高级咨询专家，2018年获得联合国粮农组织—中国农业农村部农业南南合作特殊贡献奖。
